Mr. Simple: my SUPERMAN

-Dorothy Yu

...And they're back! Looking as good as ever!

Super Junior makes another epic comeback with their 5th studio album, “Mr. Simple”. SM Entertainment, the comp
any that manages Super Junior, is known for releasing teasers and singles for their upcoming albums. From day one, SM Entertainment had made all Super Junior fans (ELFs) eager for the album’s release. The album, “Mr. Simple”, consists of 17 different songs. Super Junior moves away from the traditional songs electro songs and ballads that they have included in Bonamana, and introduces a new variety of rap-based songs and rock-based electro songs. The first song released is called “Mr. Simple”, and it is
one of the rock-based electro songs produced. Upon its release, it dominated charts and swept trophies for weeks. “Mr. Simple” (미스터 심플), like two of Super Junior’s previous hit singles, “Sorry, Sorry” (쏘리쏘리) and “Bonamana” (보나마나), is a highly infections and addictive track, getting listeners to sway to the beat immediately.  However, “Mr. Simple” is not the only track that will “wow” you and get you moving to the beat. “Superman” is one of their newer rap-based songs with a strong, prominent, base line, and it has got many fan-girls chanting along with them as they perform it on stage. Super Junior’s abilities extend far beyond their ability to rap and dance to a catchy single. In the second half of the album, they include heart-wrenching and emotional ballads, sung by their main singers Yesung, Ryeowook and Kyuhyun. “My Love, My Kiss, My Heart” is a fitting title for one of their more emotional ballads, it is ear candy and their mellifluous voices makes many fan-girls swoon. “Mr. Simple”, as an album, is ample in showcasing their talent, and will definitely help garner more worldwide attention and support from an increasing fan base.
